Going straight to the bosom of Vice magazine, he quickly became a core member of the VICE editorial team, a role he maintains to this day. When VICE launched its online TV station, VBS.tv, in association with Viacom, he assumed the role of one of its key presenters, hosting the UK editions of the Practice Space show as well as various other specials including the 'VICE Kills Jamaica' escapade. Expanding his writing roster he has acted as a contributor to The Observer Music Monthly, is a regular contributor to the NME, and edits the music section of i-D amongst various others commitments.
Simon Waterfall
Creative Director at Poke/President of D&AD
Simon graduated from the Royal College Of Art with a master’s degree in industrial design and established the Deepend studio with friends and partners Gary Lockton and David Streek in 1994. His often controversial but always entertaining insights make Simon a valued contributor at international events, including ICOGRADA, Hyper Island, Parsons School of Design, the Royal Society of Arts and Institute of Contemporary Arts. The Royal Society of Arts has honoured him with a fellowship in recognition of his contribution to British design and he's a member of D&AD and the Art Directors Club of New York.
Andy Capper
UK Editor for Vice Magazine
Andy Capper grew up in Liverpool where he briefly worked as a court reporter for the Liverpool Echo while playing in punk bands which were so good that not many people ever actually heard them. After stints at the NME and Bizarre as well as freelance work on every supplement worth it’s salt from The Gaurdian Guide to the OMM Andy helped found and set up VICE UK, the first non-North American office in what will, by the end of 2008, be a media company with offices in 22 territories worldwide. While not overseeing all European editorial content for the print magazine Andy takes an active role in VICE Records and events and even finds time to write and present shows on VBS.tv. He is also currently editing a forthcoming collection of Gavin Watson’s previously unreleased photos for VICE Books.
Jamie Eastman
ICA Music Director
Jamie is the man responsible for Musical Programming at the ICA. Once the reserve of fans of modern art, cinema, and theatre, the ICA now has a growing reputation for great gigs and hugely popular club nights, such as the minimally named 'Nightclub' organised in conjunction with Vice's Piers Martin. As the man behind the music at the ICA Eastman is the guy who has transformed a rather small room in the ICA into one of London's most popular and respected venues, with acts like Daniel Johnston, Broken Social Scene, UNKLE, Devendra Barnhart, Joanna Newsom, Groove Armada, Derek Meins and Trencher.
Lulu Kennedy
Founder and Director of Fashion East
Having studied at Middlesex University and then at Instituto Universitario Orientale in Italy, Lulu set up 'Fashion East' in 2000. The Fashion East project supports young designers who are trying to establish themselves in London. She runs the project from the Old Truman Brewery off Brick Lane. Her project allows for young designers to rotate through her establishment, three at a time. The project has garnered much respect within the industry and has pushed through the likes of Jonathan Saunders, Henry Holland, Emma Cook, Roksanda Ilincic and NOKI, a radical recycler. Lulu and her team seek out new, upcoming talent and sponsor their work, thereby helping them to get exposure at London Fashion Week and catch the eyes of international buyers.

Simon Lamarre
Studio Chief Designer Volvo
Simon Lamarre left his native Canada some nineteen years ago and landed a job as a clay modeler for Saab. There he learned how to design from scratch and that you need more than a cool design to make it all the way. Now the Studio Chief Designer for the new Volvo C30 has understood the importance of interaction between people with different areas of expertise. Simon’s creation of the C30 came at a time when it was all about challenging the public's view of what kind of car Volvo is and who the prime customers are. Although Simon follows trends in sports, fashion, electronics, architecture and so on, he cannot put his finger on exactly what triggers his own desire to design.
