Prepare goody bags with wrapped small toys, activites and sweets, allow them to lucky dip one item at a time at intervals in the journey.

Take plenty of toys, games, DVD's, drinks and snacks to keep them busy and happy. Also cloths and plastic bags for any mishaps.

Games that don't involve any equipment like naming objects from a category from A-Z - the sillier the better - entertains grown-ups too!
