Plan stops in advance and if going on a long journey,spend the night in a hotel on the way to break up the journey.

We play I spy. She loves it. Sing/play kid CD. What colour is that?. Take breaks. Bring favorite toys, books, flashcards. Let her sleep.shh.

The kids have there own ruck sack with toys and books in. They don't need to be looking at a vido screen the whole time

Start out early so they fall asleep for part of the journey and make plenty of stops along the way.
