We have a dvd player/tv which keeps them busy, music & the ds console, also with toddlers take a potty, great for toilet stops.

If you are travelling with only one child, have one of the adults sitting in the back with the child. This way, you can talk and play.

Lots of books, games and food!

Take the Grandparents with you and put the kids in their car. The kids will enjoy it, the Grandparents will love it and so will you.

Factor in plenty of 'comfort' breaks... When you gotta go you gotta go... Better out of the car than in it I say ;-)

Always have sunglasses or window blinds at this time of the year. With the sun so low, you can guarantee the kids will complain about it!
