We have a dvd player/tv which keeps them busy, music & the ds console, also with toddlers take a potty, great for toilet stops.

If you are travelling with only one child, have one of the adults sitting in the back with the child. This way, you can talk and play.

Take the Grandparents with you and put the kids in their car. The kids will enjoy it, the Grandparents will love it and so will you.

Always have sunglasses or window blinds at this time of the year. With the sun so low, you can guarantee the kids will complain about it!

If you are going on a long trip set off at their bedtime and they will more than likely sleep the whole journey. Lots of snacks help too!

Start out early so they fall asleep for part of the journey and make plenty of stops along the way.
