Plenty to entertain them, prepare games beforehand, I-spy, battleships, draughts. Have their favourite cds in the car, dvds/portable player

With our 2 year old it's good to take regular breaks when possible and make them fun by having playtime so he enjoys it

If you are going on a long trip set off at their bedtime and they will more than likely sleep the whole journey. Lots of snacks help too!

Start out early so they fall asleep for part of the journey and make plenty of stops along the way.
