Go when they should be asleep so they'll sleep most of the way

BE PREPARED FOR EVERYTHING AND MAKE A JOURNEY FUN

i spy, spot the red car playing cards ,(snap) play staion,

keeping them occupied nad interested in the sights along the way

I don't have kids, but I think they need to be kept occupied with puzzles and games

pens and paper never fails, kids always love to draw.

I take puzzle books the same and they have a spot the difference competition..winner gets a prize

Have a set of 'surprise bags' ready - product one whenever they're getting too restless

Always pack a laptop with dvd player...make sure you've downloaded some good films!

Plenty to entertain them, prepare games beforehand, I-spy, battleships, draughts. Have their favourite cds in the car, dvds/portable player

Roald Dahl audio books are always a winner - and something I'll quite happily listen too as well!

Blindfold and gag them and tape them to the seats.

play games with them like first one to see it passes so much time and gives you all a good giggle

With our 2 year old it's good to take regular breaks when possible and make them fun by having playtime so he enjoys it

Think of places along the journey to visit, and split it up a bit. And allow plenty of time.

make sure they have gone to the toilet before you set off
