Always have cereal bars and bottles of water in the car as traffic jams can lead to late meal times and being prepared helps prevent stress!

Keep them interested in the journey by playing i spy,counting types/colours of cars.The journey can be both fun and a learning experience.

Make sure they are safely strapped in, ad given plenty of things to stop them geting bored and fighting as its important you concentrate too

If you are going on a long trip set off at their bedtime and they will more than likely sleep the whole journey. Lots of snacks help too!
