A bucket,spare clothes,warm jumpers or coats,bottled water,chocolate,breakfast bars,and blankets are handy in emergencies if you break down!

Always take a favourite toy, drink, snack and their favourite music and sing along with them to the music!

Do not ignore them. Get them to play games, e.g. counting road signs; or different colours of car. They soon fall asleep.

Start out early so they fall asleep for part of the journey and make plenty of stops along the way.
