Don't ignore your children - involve them in the journey. Look at the scenery and play games, use some imagination!

Games and music to all taste. Make sure the child who has travel sickness, sits in the middle seat to enable them to look out front window.

On long journeys dress them for comfort, layers of clothing help as you can regulate their temperature both inside and outside the car.

Long journeys can be broken up by wrapping small gifts for your child and giving them at regular interval ie a plastic ring or sweets/fruit.

play the car colour game....choose a colour and count how many cars of that colour you see. Also wet wipes...say no more

Start out early so they fall asleep for part of the journey and make plenty of stops along the way.
