A proper meal beforehand not a snack full of numbers and sugar rush..this will help them sleep and not get to hyper excited.

You should keep their stomachs full always, with a lot of entertainment such as kiddy songs, toys and descriptions, about the surroundings.

take lots of tapes;stories and games help to pass the time,and don,t travel too far without a break!!! the milky bars are on you!

make sure they have been toilet before we travel.had dinner before leaving.or stop some where if dinnertime.make sure they got book.

take them to their favourite fast food restaurant if they behave All major chains publish maps so you may plan your stop enroute.

Wet wipes and old icecream tub with a lid in case of car sickness (makes it easy to capture and contain until able to dispose of).

Start out early so they fall asleep for part of the journey and make plenty of stops along the way.
