Have their favourite nursery rhymes and snacks for journey's. As well as having the temperature in the car warm!!!!

Play who can spot 'the red car' first etc. Also have plain paper and felt tip pens to hand.

Take a big colouring book and some felt tips. If possible, get off the motorway and break up the journey. Good for you, good for them.

If you are going on a long trip set off at their bedtime and they will more than likely sleep the whole journey. Lots of snacks help too!

Start out early so they fall asleep for part of the journey and make plenty of stops along the way.
